ST. NICHOLAS AT PONEC

This time St. Nicolas brings, in addition to a rich distribution of gifts (for good children mainly!), also plenty of joyful films, songs and surprise, the top will be the "devil of generous" tom bola! The dance and moving theatre programme will not be missing. Performance "A Play at Maria", with which the long-term project of the "Dance Studio Light" reaches its height, links up the elements of a drama and a dance. The aim of the year-project with a group of age-mixed children from 5 to 15 was an attempt to bring the roots of our folk traditions near to children and let them experience and understand a lot from the heritage of the folklore. The performance is full of dynamic play, dance and singing, and in the same time it tries to tell the story about friendship and fragile relations of sheer human being repeated again and again. The play is inspired with a well-known Biblical story accompanying the most beautiful holiday of the year.

The St. Nicholas's Day at Ponec offers a dancing routine of "juniors", the traditional distribution of presents as well as a disco for children. Presents bearing the names of children and a list of "sins" must be handed over by 16.50 in the cloakroom for the general public! Admission fee is voluntary.
