Open classes with foreign artists held within the T.VAR concept

Ponec has prepared in co-operation with Alt@rt a Dance Perfect a series of workshops of contemporary dance with international choreographers intended for advanced and professional dancers.

22. 3. / 10.00 – 11.30 / STUDIO ALT@
Michele Rizzo (IT): open class

6. 3. / 10.00 – 11.30 / DANCE PERFECT
Einat Ganz (ISR): open class

The class is based on a combination of contemporary dance techniques along with elements from yoga, African dance and principles of improvisation. We will use floor work and body weight to practice the mechanism of the joints, to find articulation in the body and efficiency in the movement. Emphasis will be placed on the musicality and dynamical shifts with the aim to find a personal presence.

Einat Ganz (1984) born in Tel Aviv, graduated from the Theaterschool in Amsterdam at the Modern Theater Dance Department (MTD). Part of her studies she spent at the School for New Dance Development (SNDO). She received a grant supporting her research of an African dance in West-African Gambia. As a performer she worked on various independent projects and performed at different stages in Amsterdam and Israel. She cooperated with choreographers such as Barak Marshal, Shlomit Fundaminski, Itay Yatuve, Ariel Efraim Ashbel, Saar Magal, Tammy Kleinman-Itzahk, Karnir Keidar or Osnat Kelner.

Miroslav Kochánek a Tegest Pecht-Guido: open class

Diaphoretical technique (diaphoresis). It is a unique, quite widespread, although not so well-known kinetic (dynamic) technique, the principles of which are derived from the system of thermoregulation of mammals (particularly people and horses). This technique uses the active stimulation of endocrines, the development of hyperthermy in an organism and its subsequent temperature reduction due to perspiration. The lessons dealing with this technique are usually topic-based, they can have quite a lot of variations and forms, which are always selected by the instructor themselves.Tegest and Miloslav have met this technique for the first time during their studies at the Dance Academy Fontys (NL) being guided by the professor E. Becquart for instance. They both still continue in practising and developing this technique in an active way.

Miroslav Kochánek (1981). After he graduated from the Duncan Centre Conservatory (dance theatre) he went to Netherlands where he continued his studies at Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg. Currently he lives and in Antwerp (Belgium) and works as a performer and a choreographer. He performed in pieces of N. Charnock (Peony), E. Becquart (Seaguls), B. Desmetd (Recipe for a Dance), I. M. Popovici (Portrait) or with Forman brothers (An Indiscrete Pleasure, Obludárium).

Tegest Pecht-Guido (1979) was born and until 6 years of age had lived in the Etiopian capital city – Adis Abeba. Then she was sent together with her sister to Germany, where she had lived until 1998 by their adoptive parents. She studied at Eurythmie-Academie Den Haag, one year also at Dansacademie Rotterdam and finished her studies at Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg. After her studies she entered the dance group T.R.A.S.H.
