The Little Prince doesn’t want you to draw him a sheep anymore. He wants to dance! Philosophy and sprightliness for the big and the small. A piece created in the workshop of VerTeDance group whose performance Silent Talk was awarded the prestigious SAZKA Prize in 2005.
This is a tender duet between a dancer and a small boy, which through the language of movement depicts a journey into the world of the imagination. It’s a story for small children as well as adults who still know how to dream. The Little Prince saw forty-three sunsets one day while he was on the smallest planet and could see as many sunsets as he liked. Each sunset took away a wave of his sadness and nostalgia. Come watch the sunsets with him!
"It took a long time until I finally understood where he was coming from. It seemed like he was constantly asking me questions without hearing mine. Everything was explained gradually only by words spoken incidentally… He was falling asleep and so I took him to my arms and set out on the journey again. I was touched. It felt as if I was carrying a fragile treasure. It even seemed to me as if there was nothing more fragile on Earth. In the moonlight I was watching his pale forehead, his closed eyes and his hair shaking in the wind and I felt that he was even more fragile. The light must be protected properly. A minute blow of wind is enough to turn the lamp off."¨
