What is life for men nowadays? Isn’t it too much sometimes, too demanding? When the animal within wakes up, the calling of the pack must be heard. Six men set out on a journey to the wilderness to find answers to the most intimate questions. It is out there that they come to terms with their problems and, most of all, with themselves. Stagnation, suppressed aggression, homosexuality, faith or an absent father: there is always something to get over. Yet, the mere fact of a man becoming a father is something one can be proud of. Let’s stop judging men with all the prejudice dictated by our society. A crossover theatre performance inspired by true stories of men.

"The piece is, though, a well-done and coherent probe into the life of men. Being an essay like genre, it narrates in hints, it searches for connections. And it surprises. Which is a proof of real life behind it." HN, Jana Bohutínská, Dobrý muž, který v Ponci štěká / A Good man barking at Ponec theatre, 2. 1. 2012

"The piece is based on charming music and excellent light effects that were sensitively designed for every tiny moment of the show. Everything that is on stage works as a part of the set and a prop at the same time: everything is simple, thought-out and visually attractive... The most impressive of all elements of the show is, though, the very movement... Each protagonist performs a particular character, particular features and problems – all of it is skilfully expressed by means of movement... All six men are truly great performers. There is one among them, however, who should be mentioned in person: Aleš Bilík who performs the role of a puppy." Studentpoint, Marie Horňáková, 28. 12, I muži mají své strasti / Men have trouble on their own, too

"A synthetic piece in which acting, physical action, dance and scenic design merge into impressive metaphors and actions illustrating moments from the life of men. One of the central issues is the initiation of a boy, the moment when he is accepted among adult men. The central image then is that of a man as a wolf: we face the issue of men’s animosity and instinctive existence. The only female character on stage stands for a dog most of the time – a dog as an adaptable animal with the need to cuddle. The second sight, however, reveals that things are not so simple. An impressing visual experience, one to enhance the spectator’s imagination." Lukáš Brychta, idivadlo.cz, 29. 12. 2011

„Unexpected, uncomfortable, stringy, ironic – that is what the piece Men is like. It is doubtless going to get on the list of accomplishments of this dance and movement theatre season.“  Nina Vangeli, Divadelní noviny, 25. 1. 2012
