Lea Švejdová

Lea Švejdová (born in 1976) started dancing in her childhood in Eva Blažíčková dance studio. Later, she became the member of Blažíčková´s Studio of chamber dancing II. She is one the firsts graduates of Duncan Centre Conservatory (1997) – she spent part of her studies at London Laban Centre and at Rotterdam Dance Academy. Afterwards, she was studying at the Brussels Dance Academy P.A.R.T.S. Lea was also a member of Déja Donné dance company (2001–2004). In 2003, she started cooperating on projects in the Czech Republic. Her own project Seconds to chose (2004, co-authored by Linda Samaraweerova /Austria/), Hechizada de Luxe (2005), premiered in the Southern Theatre Minneapolis, USA). Lea is a founding member of NANOHACH dance group. She was awarded the SAZKA Prize for the Best Interpretation (2006) Hechizada de Luxe won Best Contemporary Dance Performance Award 2011 /Russia /.
